In 2017 his brother Alex, who was also an actor, took his own life. Tim decided to return to his home town to create opportunities for young adults in the area to develop skills in, and gain access to high-quality theatre.

In 2018 Powerhouse was launched, providing courses in acting and improvisation. Over the next few years, Powerhouse aims to build upon the creative talent in the area to create live theatre and and digital content that champions the creativity and regional identity of the area.
